Thursday, February 20, 3 p.m. - Exhibit Tour: On Thursday, February 20 at 3:00 p.m. the public will have the opportunity for a guided tour of One of a Kind: Art from the Estes Park Museum, the latest temporary exhibition. The show features works from some of the area's most well-known, and prominent artists including Lyman Byxbe, R.H. Tallant, Richardson Rome, Greig Steiner, Dorothy C. Scott, and many others. Museum Director Derek Fortini will discuss artistic styles, mediums, and the history of the Estes Park artistic community.
Tuesday, March 18, 10 - 11:30 a.m. - 1917 Book Club: The March meeting of the 1917 Book Club's title is A History of the Southern Estes Valley: With Special Emphasis on Carriage Hills by Robert W. Leavitt. The program will take place from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Museum Meeting Room. Please note this month’s meeting with take place on Tuesday, rather than a regular Wednesday. Light snacks will be provided. This program is free and open to the public. It is strongly encouraged that participants read each book prior to the program to take part in the discussion. Mr. Leavitt will be in attendance to contribute to a lively discussion facilitated by Museum staff.
This 1917 Book Club title can be purchased at the Museum Gift Shop, Macdonald Bookshop, and Amazon. Additionally, the title is available at the Estes Valley Library (holds can be placed on circulating copies if all are checked out).
