Citizen Survey

The Town of Estes Park uses the National Citizen Survey™, which is sponsored by the International City/County Management Association in cooperation with National Research Center, Inc. The questionnaire and survey methods are designed based on the experience of hundreds of local governments, ranging in size from small to large. Estes Park’s results can be benchmarked, or compared, with those of more than 600 other jurisdictions in the National Citizen Survey database. The results are used by Town officials, other agencies and community stakeholders for community planning and resource allocation, program improvement, policy-making and tracking changes in residents’ opinions about government performance.

Estes Park conducts the Citizen Survey biennially.

In 2019, Estes Park won the Voice of the People Award for Transformation in Recreation and Wellness. In 2015, Estes Park won the Voice of the People Award for Transformation in Economy. These awards are given only to the top performing jurisdictions acting for the benefit of their communities.
