As part of the Town of Estes Park's Internal Services, the Fleet Division's staff of three maintains the Town of Estes Park's more than 500 pieces of equipment. Responsibilities include Police and Fire equipment; Power & Communication aerial bucket devices and line equipment; a variety of trailers; 15 pieces of snow removal equipment; street sweepers; loaders; backhoes; and an assortment of turf equipment. The Fleet Maintenance Division is led by a Master ASE Certified Supervisor working with multiple departments and districts.
All Fleet repairs, as well as fuel and equipment expenses, are tracked by a fleet maintenance computer software system that gives up-to-date information on equipment operating costs. The in-house inventory of tires and of maintenance and repair parts is maintained and managed by the Fleet staff. The Town shares in a joint effort to decrease the need for fuel storage in Estes Park by fueling all equipment at the Larimer County and the Park School District fuel sites. The Fleet Maintenance Division strives to provide the best quality maintenance possible for its customers.
