The Utilities Department is comprised of two Divisions: Power and Communication and Water. The department's goals are:
- Providing reliable, efficient, well maintained, and up to date infrastructure serving the residents, businesses, and visitors.
- Helping make Estes Park a safe place to live, work, and visit within this extraordinary natural environment.
- Providing high-quality, reliable basic municipal services for the benefit of citizens, visitors, and employees while being good stewards of public resources.
Community Broadband is Here
In 2019, Estes Park launched a community-owned and operated broadband service to the electric service area transforming Light & Power into Power and Communications. Estes Park's broadband offering will be its own municipal utility, ensuring the same premier level of service and support community members and businesses have come to trust from Estes Park Light & Power.
