Overview
The Water Division and Public Works Department have jointly completed the design for improvements in the Reclamation Neighborhood. This project includes replacing the existing 4-inch water mains located behind homes with new 8-inch ductile iron mains located in the road. Service lines will be reconnected to the water system with construction work required on most properties. Street and sidewalk improvements will be made on Third Street, North Court, and South Court. For more information on the street and sidewalk improvements please visit the Public Works Reclamation Neighborhood Street Improvements page.

About This Project
Wagner Construction has completed their work in the Reclamation Neighborhood and the Town will be contracting this Spring/Summer to pave and complete the sidewalk installation along Third Street, North Court and South Court.
Seeding that was completed after installation of the service lines is being redone by a different contractor. Getting seed to germinate and grass restored is a challenge and re-seeding is not uncommon. Each property owner can help by watering the newly seeded areas.
For more information on the water portions of this project, please contact Jacqui Wesley, Utilities Project Manager at 970-577-3611 (jwesley@estes.org) or Mike Dantimo, Capital Projects Supervisor at 720-333-7152 (mdantimo@estes.org). Project Information and Updates
Reclamation Neighborhood Drawings
All water service lines have been connected to the new water system and the old water system is no longer connected to any water source. Street construction will continue into Spring and Summer 2025 along Third Street, South Court and North Court to finalize paving and sidewalk replacements. Please watch for continued traffic pattern changes and detours in place on these streets. Work on the other street is complete except for some restoration and seeding. Final completion for all work is expected to be in May/June 2025.
During project construction, the Xcel Energy gas services lines were found to be too shallow. Xcel Energy hired a contractor to lower many of the lines in this area to meet their standards for depth of bury. This work was done by Xcel as a separate concurrent project. Now that the water work is complete, Estes Park Sanitation District can start a planned sewer system rehabilitation project.
